Remember what you learned?
You already know the three most important things about AI.
Let's make sure before we go deeper.
🧠
What AI is
A very powerful pattern-matcher trained on billions of text examples. It predicts the best helpful response for your question.
✓ Level 1 done
💬
How to talk to it
You type a prompt — a clear message explaining what you want. The clearer your prompt, the better the answer you get.
✓ Level 1 done

Safety rules
Never share passwords, Aadhaar, or bank details. Always verify important information. AI can be wrong — especially for medical and legal matters.

Prompt Skill
4 tips for getting much better answers
Before the demos, here is the single most valuable skill in AI use.
These four tips will improve every answer you ever get.
1
Be specific
Vague prompts get vague answers. Add details about who, what, and why.
❌ "Write a message to my supplier"✅ "Write a WhatsApp to my supplier. He is 2 hours late delivering 20kg tomatoes. Polite but firm. Under 60 words."
2
Give context
Tell AI who you are and what the situation is. It cannot guess — you must tell it.
❌ "Write a reply"✅ "I am a Class 9 student. My teacher asked me why I missed class. Write a polite reply explaining I had fever."
3
Ask for format
Tell AI how you want the answer — as a list, bullet points, table, or under a word count.
❌ "Give me a grocery list"✅ "Give me a weekly grocery list for 4 people within ₹800. Format as a table with item, quantity, and approx. price."
4
Iterate — say what to change
If the answer is not quite right, don't start over. Just say what to change.
❌ Start again with a new prompt✅ "Make it shorter" / "More formal please" / "Add one more vegetable"
The Universal Prompt Formula
Role+Task+Details+Style
Example:
"I am a Class 9 student[Role].
Give me 5 practice questions[Task]
on Atoms and Molecules [Details].
Use simple language, not textbook language[Style]."
MITRA SAYS
You don't need to be a "prompt engineer". Just be clear — like you're explaining the task to a helpful person who knows everything but doesn't know your situation. Now let's practise all four tips together in the demos.
Real-Life Situation 1 · Ravi
A professional message in 30 seconds
Ravi's vegetable supplier promised 20 kg of tomatoes by 8 AM.
It's now 11 AM. Ravi needs to send a WhatsApp — but he doesn't know how to sound firm without being rude.
Ravi's problem: "Every time I write messages to suppliers in formal English, it either sounds too angry or too soft. Last time I was too polite and the supplier didn't take it seriously. This time I need to get it right."
Ravi's prompt — try copying it
Prompt — paste into ChatGPT, Gemini, or any AI tool
Write a WhatsApp message to my vegetable supplier Ramesh. He promised to deliver 20 kg of tomatoes by 8 AM. It is now 11 AM and I still have not received them. My shop is running out of stock and customers are asking. I need delivery by 12 PM or I will have to buy elsewhere. Keep it polite but firm. Under 60 words.
Dear Ramesh bhai, good morning. I'm still waiting for the 20 kg tomatoes promised for 8 AM delivery — it's now 11 AM and my shop is running short. Customers are asking. Please arrange delivery by 12 PM, or let me know so I can source from elsewhere. Thanks — Ravi.

Ramesh (Supplier)

11:06 AM ✓✓
✅ Ravi sent the message in under 2 minutes. Ramesh replied with an apology and delivered by 11:45 AM. The message was firm enough to be taken seriously, and polite enough to keep the relationship good.
MITRA SAYS
Notice how Ravi used Tip 1 (be specific) and Tip 3 (ask for format). He mentioned the supplier's name, the exact product, the time, and asked for under 60 words. That's why the answer was ready to send straight away.

Real-Life Situation 2 · Priya
Plan a week of groceries within ₹800
Priya manages the house budget. Every week she spends 30 minutes planning what to buy.
This week she wants to try something new — let AI do the planning.
Priya's challenge: "We are a family of 4. We need dal, rice, vegetables, and some fruit. I don't want to buy the same things every week. My budget is ₹800. I also want to make sure we have enough vegetables for 5 days."
Priya's prompt
I am planning weekly groceries for a family of 4 in Hyderabad. My total budget is ₹800. I need: rice, dal, at least 4 different vegetables, one fruit, and basic spices. Give me a shopping list as a table with item name, quantity, and approximate price in rupees. Also show the total at the end.

💡 ₹40 remaining as buffer for price variations at the market.
Priya looked at the list and said: "I want to change bananas to apples, and add 500g of beans."
So she typed the follow-up:
Follow-up (Tip 4 — Iterate)
Replace bananas with 500g of apples. Also add 500g of French beans. Show the updated list and new total.
✅ In two messages, Priya had a complete, customised grocery list within her budget — with ₹35 left over. She screenshotted it and went to the market without writing anything herself.
MITRA SAYS
Priya used Tip 3 (ask for format) by requesting a table with prices. Then she used Tip 4 (iterate) to refine. She didn't need to start over — she just told AI what to change. That is the right workflow.

Real-Life Situation 3 · Rahul
Exam prep in 10 minutes — with AI-generated practice questions
Rahul has a Science exam in 2 days on Atoms and Molecules (Class 9).
He doesn't know which questions to practise. His textbook has 20 pages of theory. AI can help.
Rahul's prompt (Tip 2 — Give context)
I am a Class 9 student preparing for a Science exam in 2 days. The topic is Chapter 3: Atoms and Molecules. Give me 5 practice questions — 3 easy ones and 2 medium ones — with detailed answers. Use simple language, not textbook language.
Q1What is an atom? Give one example.▾
An atom is the smallest particle of an element that still has the properties of that element. Think of it like the smallest possible piece of gold — it's still gold. Example: The element Hydrogen is made of Hydrogen atoms. Symbol: H.
Q2What is the difference between an atom and a molecule?▾
An atom is a single particle — the building block. A molecule is when two or more atoms join together. Example: A single O is an oxygen atom. Two oxygen atoms join to form O₂ — an oxygen molecule (the air we breathe).
Q3Water is written as H₂O. What does this tell you?▾
H₂O means one water molecule has 2 Hydrogen atoms and 1 Oxygen atom. The subscript number (₂) tells you how many atoms of that element are in the molecule. No subscript means 1 atom.
Q4 (Medium)What is the mole concept? Why is it used?▾
Atoms are too small to count one by one — like counting grains of rice. Scientists invented the "mole" as a big convenient number: 1 mole = 6.022 × 10²³ particles (Avogadro's number). So instead of saying "we have 12,044,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 atoms", we say "we have 2 moles".
Q5 (Medium)Calculate the molecular mass of CO₂.▾
CO₂ has 1 Carbon atom and 2 Oxygen atoms.
Atomic mass of C = 12 u
Atomic mass of O = 16 u
Molecular mass of CO₂ = 12 + (2 × 16) = 12 + 32 = 44 u
✅ Rahul spent 15 minutes going through all 5 questions. Then he asked AI to make 3 more questions specifically on "molecular mass calculations". He went into the exam feeling prepared for the first time.
Rahul's follow-up prompt: "Give me 3 more questions only on calculating molecular mass, with step-by-step solutions." — Same topic, more practice, in one line.

I am writing to bring to your urgent attention the persistent power supply failures affecting residents of Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad. For the past three weeks, our area has been experiencing scheduled power cuts every evening between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM without any prior notice or explanation.
